A storm surge warning means dangerous waves and flooding are expected in coastal areas. PAGASA issues storm surge warnings with colour-coded risk levels: Yellow (up to 1m), Orange (1-2m), Red (2-3m), and Purple (above 3m). WeatherAlertPH shows all 19 PAGASA storm surge zones on the radar map.

What is a PAGASA typhoon signal?

PAGASA uses Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) from Signal No. 1 (winds 30-60 kph) to Signal No. 5 (winds above 220 kph). Higher signal numbers mean more dangerous conditions. WeatherAlertPH displays the current signal level for all affected areas.
